Hannah, a highly skilled massage therapist since 2017, derives immense satisfaction from aiding clients in achieving better well-being. She takes pleasure in seamlessly blending various massage modalities to craft a distinctive and tailor-made experience for every individual she serves. Greg finds immense satisfaction in tackling the complexities of pain relief, muscle tension release, and enhancing clients' range of motion. Greg complements these techniques with precise movements and stretches, skillfully adjusting pressure to cater to his clients' specific needs.

With a career shaped by artistry, education, and years of experience in the beauty industry, Heidi Downen brings a unique level of expertise to The Retreat Salon and Day Spa.

Originally from Sandpoint, Heidi has built her career in some of the country’s most dynamic beauty markets, including California and Nashville. Her professional journey has included working behind the chair, advanced industry education, salon and spa leadership, and sharing her knowledge as an educator at the Aveda Institute.

Heidi’s commitment to continued education has taken her through advanced training with respected names in the industry, including the Redken Exchange and Toni & Guy Academy. 

Beyond her technical expertise, Heidi believes great hair is about more than following a trend, it’s about understanding the individual sitting in her chair. She combines her extensive industry knowledge with a personalized approach to create beautiful, wearable results that make her clients feel confident.

After years of building her career away from home, Heidi is excited to return to her Sandpoint roots and be closer to family. She’s thrilled to bring her experience, creativity, and passion for the beauty industry back to the community she has always considered home.

Tejah Jones is a talented and enthusiastic nail technician who is excited to begin her professional career at The Retreat Salon and Day Spa.

A recent graduate of the Paul Mitchell School in Coeur d’Alene, Tejah completed her nail training and earned her Idaho cosmetology license in 2026. She has a passion for creating beautiful, polished nails while making sure every client feels comfortable, cared for, and confident when they leave her chair.

As a new professional in the industry, Tejah brings fresh creativity, attention to detail, and a genuine excitement for continuing to grow her skills. She loves the artistry that comes with nails and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her clients.

Michelle has been a master hairstylist for 15 years, mastering the skills in highlighting, balayage, color blending, color correcting, and precision haircuts. Hair is her art and she enjoy’s the process of transforming someone from start to finish. She continuously attends classes to keep up with the latest trends. She has been mentored by some of the highest educators in the industry, internationally and within our US. She truly is passionate about her chosen career. It is her personal goal to continue to grow and excel in her craft. As a stylist she believes in honesty, patience, creativity, and artwork all functioning together to produce a beautiful outcome for her clients.

In her free time, typically every day after work you’ll find her at the gym. Fitness is key to a healthy lifestyle. She also enjoys the outdoors, fishing, golfing, biking, water sports, wineries.

Briana Critchell is a Master Nail Technician with years of experience serving the Sandpoint community and a true passion for creating beautiful nails. Briana has built her career around exceptional nail care, creativity, and making every client feel comfortable and cared for.

Briana specializes in acrylic and hard gel services, and she loves creating everything from timeless, polished sets to fun, bold designs that let her clients' personalities shine. Her experience, attention to detail, and dedication to her craft allow her to create customized looks that are both beautiful and built to last.

But what really makes Briana special is her personality. Spunky, outgoing, and always ready with a good story.

With over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, Cindy Wade is a Master Hairstylist who brings extensive knowledge, skill, and passion to every appointment.

Cindy began her professional training in Michigan and has continued to expand her education throughout her career. She has completed extensive training in Rusk cutting techniques, staying dedicated to refining her skills and keeping up with the latest techniques in the industry. Her years of experience allow her to create personalized looks that complement each client's individual style, features, and lifestyle.

Cindy believes great hair starts with listening. She takes the time to understand what each client wants while offering her professional expertise to create a look they can feel confident wearing.

Outside of the salon, Cindy enjoys spending time in her garden, getting lost in a good book, and—most importantly—making memories with her grandson.

With 16 years of experience in the world of hair and color, Lacy Petit brings a thoughtful blend of creativity, technique, and personalized care to every appointment. She specializes in Kenra and Schwarzkopf color, creating beautiful, dimensional results tailored to each guest’s individual style.

While she loves all aspects of hairstyling, Lacy’s favorite service is a specialized haircut. She enjoys taking the time to understand what each client wants and creating a cut that complements their features, lifestyle, and natural texture.

Outside of the salon, Lacy is a proud mom of six and loves spending time with her family. When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll likely find her enjoying the outdoors, gardening, or soaking up the beauty of nature.
